JULIE ANDREWS
Good evening, this is Julie Andrews. Once upon a time, there was a Magic Kingdom made of hopes and childhood fantasies. A timeless place, where every land was filled with wonder. A place where everyone who entered its gates would be given the gift of the young at heart — the power to wish upon a star and unlock its magic. Are you ready to wish upon a star? Then it’s time to open your heart and remember… dreams come true.

CHILD SOLOIST
Star light, star bright,
First star I see tonight.
I wish I may, I wish I might
Have the wish I wish tonight.
We’ll make a wish, and do as dreamers do.

CHORUS
Do as dreamers do.

CHILD SOLOIST
And all our wishes…

CHORUS
All our wishes…

CHILD SOLOIST
Will come true.

CHORUS
When you wish upon a star,
Makes no difference who you are!
Anything your heart desires will come to you.

JULIE ANDREWS
In 1955, a magical place was born, and in this marvelous kingdom, there lived many delightful friends who made our dreams come true. An enchanting place where storybook heroes and daring adventures waited around every corner.

CHORUS
If your heart is in your dreams…

CINDERELLA
I wish I could go to the ball!

SNOW WHITE
I’m wishing… someday, my prince will come!

CHORUS
No request is too extreme!

IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth (Epcot)

*Sung lyrics in bold.

(Pre-show announcements.)

NARRATOR
Good evening. On behalf of Walt Disney World — the place where dreams come true — we welcome all of you to Epcot, and World Showcase. We’re gathered here tonight, around the fire — as people of all lands have gathered for thousands and thousands of years before us — to share the light, and to share a story. An amazing story as old as time itself, but still being written. And though each of us has our own individual stories to tell, a true adventure emerges when we bring them all together as one. We hope you enjoy our story tonight: Reflections of Earth. (Blows out the lights.)

(Drum music begins. Fireworks, lasers, and fire effects begin, accompanied by theme song. Music changes. Globe begins spinning and lighting up with various scenes.)

FEMALE SOLOIST
With the stillness of the night,
There comes a time to understand.
To reach out and touch tomorrow,
Take the future in our hand.

We can see a new horizon
Built on all that we have done.
And our dreams begin another
Thousand circles ’round the sun

CHORUS
We go on
To the joy and through the tears.
We go on
To discover new frontiers.
Moving on
With the current of the years.

We go on,
Moving forward now as one.
Moving on
With a spirit born to run.
Ever on
With each rising sun,
To a new day,
We go on.

(The spinning globe opens to reveal flames and fireworks.)

CHORUS
We go on!

(Show ends with fireworks finale.)

NARRATOR
Ladies and gentlemen, the entire Epcot family thanks you for having been with us for IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth — presented by Siemens. We hope that your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort has been a truly magical experience for you and yours. We wish you a pleasant evening and a safe journey home. Thank you, and goodnight!

*Sung lyrics in bold.

(Music begins.)

FEMALE SOLOIST
Step into the magic!
Step into the magic!

NARRATOR
Just imagine: if you were standing right here over 60 years ago, you’d be standing in the middle of an orange grove. One visionary man stood right where you are now, but instead of orange trees, he envisioned a Magic Kingdom. This man’s name was Walt Disney, and his dream would be called Disneyland.

WALT DISNEY
It’s been said that as long as there’s imagination left in the world, Disneyland will never be complete.

(Tinker Bell flies around the castle.)

PETER PAN
(Crows.) Imagination? We got a lot of that around here! Right, Tinker Bell? Ah, atta-girl, Tink—sprinkle your pixie dust! Let’s show ’em just how magical this place can be. C’mon everybody, here we go!

FEMALE SOLOIST
It’s a world where you belong,
Where you can dream aloud.

FEMALE SOLOIST AND MALE SOLOIST

FEMALE SOLOIST AND MALE SOLOIST

Step into the magic.
Every color shines so bright.
Step into the magic!
Step into the magic!

(Music changes to “Step in Time.”)

Step in time! Step in time!

Step in time, step in time.
Step in time, step in time.
Never need a reason, never need a rhyme,
Step in time, you step in time!

BERT
Kick your knees up!

CHIMNEY SWEEPS
Kick your knees up, step in time.
Kick your knees up, step in time.

(Music changes to “I See the Light.”)

RAPUNZEL
All those days, watching from the windows.
All those years, outside looking in.
All that time, never even knowing
Just how blind I’ve been.

RAPUNZEL AND FLYNN
And at last I see the light,

FLYNN
And it’s like the fog has lifted.

RAPUNZEL AND FLYNN
And at last I see the light,

RAPUNZEL
And it’s like the sky is new.

RAPUNZEL AND FLYNN
And it’s warm and real and bright,
And the world has somehow shifted.
All at once, everything is different,
Now that I see you.
Now that I see you.

(Music changes to “Rumbly in My Tumbly.” Sound of bees buzzing.)

I’m so rumbly in my tumbly.

Hum dee dum dum dum.

(Buzzing gets louder, music turns ominous.)

Heffalumps and woozles steal honey… Beware! Beware!

A heffalump or woozle is very confuzle.
A heffalump or woozle’s very sly!
Sly! Sly! Sly!

They come in ones and twozles,
But if they so choozles,
Before your eyes you’ll see them multiply!
Ply! Ply! Ply!

If honey’s what you covet, you’ll find that they love it,
Because they guzzle up the thing you prize!

(Music changes to “Circle of Life.”)

Sithi uhm ingonyama.
Ingonyama nengw’ enamabala, etc.

From the day we arrive on the planet,
And blinking, step into the sun,
There’s more to see than can ever be seen.
More to do than can ever be done.

It’s the circle of life,
And it moves us all.
Through despair and hope,
Through faith and love.
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding.
In the circle,
The circle of—

(Music changes to “I Wanna Be Like You.”)

Now I’m the king of the swingers,

Ooh, the jungle VIP,
I’ve reached the top and had to stop,
And that’s what a-botherin’ me.

Oh, oo-bee-doo,

I wanna walk like you,
Talk like you too.

(Chanting climaxes. Matterhorn “erupts.” Music changes to main theme.)

FEMALE SOLOIST
Come on and live, imagining…

(Music changes to “Let It Go.”)

ELSA
The snow glows white on the mountain tonight,
Not a footprint to be seen.
A kingdom of isolation,
And it looks like I’m the queen.

The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside.
Couldn’t keep it in—heaven knows I tried!

Don’t let them in, don’t let them see.
Be the good girl you always have to be.
Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know.
Well, now they know!

Let it go! Let it go!
I am one with the wind and sky.
Let it go! Let it go!
You’ll never see me cry.

Here I stand
In the light of day.
Let the storm rage on!
The cold never bothered me anyway.

(Music changes to main Disneyland Forever theme.)

NARRATOR
As Walt Disney said, “Disneyland will never be complete.” And as the future will show us, with enough imagination, it will continue to build and grow on one enduring promise—that all who journey into its magical gates will feel forever young. And the magic, as Walt assured us, will never end.

(Music changes to “When You Wish Upon a Star” and then back to Disneyland Forever theme.)

FEMALE SOLOIST AND MALE SOLOIST
Turn on your light!
Come on, and live the magic.
So much to find,
Come on and live the magic.

FEMALE SOLOIST
When you wish upon a star…

FEMALE SOLOIST AND MALE SOLOIST
If we believe in the fantasy,
It will carry us away, carry us away.
You and me, makin’ memories today.

Step into the magic;
Watch the stories come to life!
Step into the magic;
Every color shines so bright.
Step into the magic!
Step into the magic!

CHORUS
Ah, ah, ah, etc.

JIMINY CRICKET
Just think, all of this is yours… forever!

CHORUS
Come on, and live the magic!

(Show ends. Post-show music begins: “Kiss Goodnight” by Richard Sherman. Next, exit music plays: “Live the Magic.”)
