Hi, everybody, and welcome to the party!
DONALD
Hi Mickey! What’s the surprise?
MICKEY
The surprise? Well, you see, I invited some very special guests to today’s castle party. They’re gonna dream along with us!
DONALD
That’s the surprise?!
GOOFY
But Donald, they’re gonna bring their dreams along to share.
DONALD
Ah, phooey. Nobody believes in dreams anymore.
MINNIE
Oh, Donald! You mean you don’t believe in dreams?! Oh, why everyone believes in dreams! You see, that’s the only way dreams can come true.
MICKEY
I bet all our pals out there believe in dreams, dontcha? What do you say, gang? Tell us your dreams real loud!
CHILD #1
I want to be a beautiful princess at a ball!
MINNIE
Did you say “be a princess”? Me too!
CHILD #2
I want to be a pirate!
GOOFY
Hey, I’ve always wanted to be a pirate too!
MICKEY
Hot dog! Ya see, Donald? Everybody has a dream. You just have to believe.
DONALD
Ah, phooey!
MICKEY
Come on, gang! Let’s show Donald we all believe in our dreams. Just reach down deep inside and find the magic in your heart. Then, on the count of three, we’ll all wish together real loud by saying “Dreams come true!”
DONALD
It’ll never work!
MICKEY
All right. Concentrate, everybody. Are you ready now? One, two, three…
ENSEMBLE
Dreams come true!
(Fireworks go off. Music changes to princess theme.)
GOOFY
What’s that?
MINNIE
That music… those voices… it’s beautiful!
MICKEY
See, we all believed together, and it worked!
DONALD
What worked?
MINNIE
The dream… It’s coming true!
MICKEY
And look—our guests have arrived.
(SNOW WHITE and THE PRINCE, CINDERELLA and PRINCE CHARMING, AURORA and PRINCE PHILIP enter and dance.)

PRINCE CHARMING

Kinda mushy if you ask me.
GOOFY
Y’know, Donald, that sure was purty. But if I had a dream come true, my dream would be full of fun and adventure.
(PETER PAN enters.)
PETER PAN
Did someone say “adventure”?
GOOFY
Gawrsh, that was me! (Laughs.)
PETER PAN
Well then, adventure it is!
DONALD
Here we go again…
PETER PAN
So hoist the anchor! Raise the sails! Fall in line, ya swabs. It’s time to set sail for adventure. An adventure that begins with…
(ENSEMBLE enters, dressed as pirates. WENDY is with them.)
ENSEMBLE
Pirates!
Oh, a pirates life is a wonderful life,
A-rovin’ over the sea.

(ENSEMBLE dances and dresses up DONALD as CAPTAIN HOOK and GOOFY as MR. SMEE. DONALD scares GOOFY)

PETER PAN
Hey, Captain Hook—en garde!
GOOFY
Get him, Donald—I mean, get him, Captain Hook!
DONALD
En garde! Ha!
(DONALD and PETER PAN sword fight. DONALD wins. The ENSEMBLE lifts him up on their shoulders.)
ENSEMBLE
We’re told to attack a thousand ships for darling Captain Hook!
PIRATE
It seems we always make these trips to crook what we can crook.
TWO PIRATES
We have to sing yo-ho, yo-ho,
PIRATE
We sing it whether we come or go!
WOMEN
‘Cause that’s the only song we know!
ENSEMBLE
We’re pirating our ships.
We work for many a thief.
We plunder for many a crook.
There’s never a gent so elegant
As the elegant Captain Hook! Yo-ho!
(CAPTAIN HOOK and MR. SMEE enter.)
CAPTAIN HOOK
You called?
GOOFY
Gawrsh… It’s the real Captain Hook!
CAPTAIN HOOK
And what are you suppose to be?
DONALD
We’re pirates!
CAPTAIN HOOK
Pirates! Did you hear that, Smee? They’re pirates!
MR. SMEE
Ah, well, Captain. I heard ’em—pirates!
CAPTAIN HOOK
Well then, if they were really pirates, then I suppose they’d know how to fight like a pirate! En garde!
GOOFY AND DONALD
Whoa!!
(CAPTAIN HOOK and MR. SMEE chase DONALD and GOOFY)
CAPTAIN HOOK
(Laughs.) Run you cowards. Run! (Laughs.)
PETER PAN
I’ll accept your challenge, Hook!
CAPTAIN HOOK
Peter Pan?!
PETER PAN
En garde!
(PETER PAN and CAPTAIN HOOK sword fight.)
MR. SMEE
Give it to ‘im, Captain! Ooh, this is fun!
CAPTAIN HOOK
Smee, you quivering idiot! Get the girl!
(MR. SMEE captures WENDY.)
MR. SMEE.
Oh, Captain! I’ve caught her, Captain!
DONALD
Oh, no ya don’t!
(DONALD rescues WENDY from MR. SMEE then grabs a large clock.)
CAPTAIN HOOK
I’ve got you this time, Peter Pan!
PETER PAN
I say, Captain, do you hear something?
CAPTAIN HOOK
What?!
PETER PAN
Do you think it could be your old friend, the crocodile?
CAPTAIN HOOK
Crocodile?! Where? I don’t see him!
PETER PAN
Is he over there?
CAPTAIN HOOK
Ooh, where?! Smee!
PETER PAN
Or over there?
CAPTAIN HOOK
Smee!!!
PETER PAN
Or right behind you?!
CAPTAIN HOOK
Smeeeeeee!!!!
(CAPTAIN HOOK breaks down while everyone laughs at him.)
GOOFY
It’s just a clock…
(GOOFY and the ENSEMBLE laugh, but their laughter is interrupted by MALEFICENT’s evil cackle. MICKEY enters.)
MICKEY
Gosh! What was that?
(MALEFICENT enters.)
MALEFICENT
Well, well. Quite a glittering assemblage. I was quite distressed at not receiving an invitation. An oversight, I’m sure… Nevertheless, I too have a dream to share.
MINNIE
You… you do?
MALEFICENT
Oh, yes, my dear, I do. Listen well! (Thunder claps.) You see my friends, the time has come to bring my gift—my wish—to you. Starting today, this kingdom will change to the place where nightmares come true! (Evil laugh.) Run! Run! (Evil laugh.)
DONALD
Wait a minute, what about the dreams?
MINNIE
Donald!
MALEFICENT
Poor little duck! Huh, no one truly believes in dreams any longer—which is why it is a perfect time for me to return to power!
DONALD
But I believe in dreams.
MALEFICENT
That you believe in dreams is of very little consequence!
DONALS
But everyone believes! Right, Mickey?
MICKEY
Donald, that’s it! As long as we all believe, then the power of dreams will always triumph.
MALEFICENT
Ha! Oh, this is priceless!
MICKEY
Listen everybody—we all need to work together! On the count of three, let’s all find the magic inside our hearts and dream together one more time. Remember, reach deep inside, and say over and over, real loud, “Dreams come true!” Ready? One, two, three!
ENSEMBLE

MICKEY
That’s right!

MALEFICENT
What?

Mr. Smee, I believe it’s time we took our leave of this little party.
MR. SMEE
Wait for meeeeee!
(CAPTAIN HOOK and MR. SMEE exit.)
MALEFICENT
Imbeciles! And you—you may have the power of dreams on your side this time, but just you wait! One day the kingdom will stop believing. Then all will be lost! Remember, you haven’t seen the last of me! (Evil cackle as she disappears.)
MICKEY
You did it! It worked!
MINNIE
By believing in your dreams, you saved the day!
GOOFY
Gawrsh, Donald. That sure was somethin’ standing up to that mean ol’ Maleficent!
DONALD
It was nothing.
MINNIE
Well, Donald, because of you, we all still have our dreams.
(MINNIE kisses DONALD on the cheek.)
DONALD
Awww…
MICKEY
That’s right, Donald! By remembering about the power of dreams, you reminded us all that when we believe in ourselves, and our friends, and our family—why, there’s nothin’ we can’t do! Gee, when you find the dream inside your heart, anything is possible!
